The Fremont Family YMCA is excited to welcome David Strubel back to our YMCA family as our Director of Aquatics, effective July 27, 2020.

Struble is a lifelong swimmer who attended Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska. He swam competitively at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, and earned DII All-American status in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Struble began his coaching career in 2008 at Swim Omaha. He has previously coached at Ralston High School, Fremont Area Swim Team, Hurricane Aquatics in Miami, Florida and was a Volunteer Assistant for the University of Miami women’s swim team. Struble was also an assistant coach for Fremont High School for five seasons. In 2019 he was inducted into the Nebraska Metro Swimming Hall of Fame. David was named head coach of the Fremont High School swim team on June 9th.

We would also like to thank Dian Christensen Hillis for her work in opening the Dillon Family Aquatics Center and for serving as Director of Aquatics for the past two years. Dian will be spending more time working with the Michael Phelps Foundation, Special Olympics, and with family.
