Here is the run-down on race day information and instructions leading up to this Thursday's Turkey Trot!

Race date: Thursday, November 25th

Race location: Fremont Family YMCA, 810 N. Lincoln Avenue in Fremont

Race times:
5 mile: 8:30 am
2 mile: 8:40 am
1-mile walk: This will begin shortly after the 2-mile race

Race start: Participants will be split into smaller groups to start the race into waves to avoid congestion. There will be markings on the street where groups can gather to spread out appropriately. Since the race will be chip-timed, your time will not begin calculating until you cross the starting line, so don't worry about having to line up farther back from the line. Because of the wave start protocols, we strongly encourage participants to NOT gather at the start/finish line before you start your event. This will reduce any timing discrepancies that could result in the timing equipment picking up an errant read from your timing chip.

Race bibs: For the 2 and 5-mile participants, you will receive a race bib with a timing chip attached to the back. Please do not bend the timing chip, as this could result in a malfunction of the chip. Race bibs must be worn on the front, outermost layer to ensure accurate reads of your time. Failure to do so could result in either a missed or inaccurate time read and we cannot guarantee that your time will be calculated if your bib/chip is hidden under a layer of clothing.

Parking: Participants are asked to please park on the EAST SIDE of the parking lot and exit onto Military following the completion of the race.

Packet pick-up: Race packets can be picked up at the Fremont Family YMCA fronts desk beginning at 7:30 am on Wednesday, November 24th. Participants are encouraged to pick up their race packets on Wednesday to cut down on congestion the morning of the race. On the day of the race, packets can be picked up at the garage door entrance on the east side – tennis courts -  beginning at 7:30 am.

Athletico Physical Therapy will be leading a warm-up stretch for participants at 7:30 am.

Results: Results will be emailed to all participants who have provided an active email address following the completion of the event. Due to COVID-19, we ask participants to avoid entering the timing trailer or area prior to or after the event. Additionally, results can be found at

Race photos: We will be taking pictures during the event, which will be available for all for free on our Facebook page. You are welcome to share, tag, and download these pictures as you wish!

Finish line photos: Most participants in the 2 and 5-mile events will have several finish line photos taken by our automatic finish line camera. These will be available for participants to purchase and aligned with each participant's results at
