Updated COVID-19 Response from the Fremont Family YMCA

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, and with the goal of slowing community spread as encouraged by our local, state and federal government leaders, the Fremont Family YMCA will be closing our facilities and programs, with the exception of child care, effective at 6 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

We will be closely monitoring the situation to determine a safe and acceptable reopening date, and will communicate operational updates as we determine the appropriate course of action. While this closure includes all facilities including wellness centers and pool operations, our day care and Fun Days programs will remain open in order to provide emergency child care to parents who still have to report into work.

The YMCA has been working closely with Three Rivers Public Health Department and child care licensing to follow guidelines and to keep children safe. We have changed our structure to a ratio of 10 kids to 2 employees, as per the recommendation of the health department. Groups have been spread into various rooms and areas throughout the building to accommodate the 6 ft recommendation for social distancing.

Please consider keeping your membership active. We recognize this is a very uncertain time, but we are asking you to consider staying with us during this time, as we pivot our services for the safety of our community. We understand your concerns but ask that you help us be a part of the solution and keep your membership active during these turbulent times.

In the meantime, we are striving to find ways to strengthen our members and keep them active. We are excited to share virtual group exercise classes to help your fitness journey. Below is information about two different, FREE ways to stream group fitness to your home. We will be adding new resources to keep you and your family healthy.
