SUMMER FUN BEGINS AT CHRISTENSEN FAMILY YMCA CAMP!
Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character, and making friends. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social, and educational activities. Camp teaches self-reliance and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership - all amidst the fun of sports, games, outdoor adventure, and meaningful relationships. Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every child.
Christensen Family YMCA Day Camp
The Christensen Family YMCA Camp is committed to giving your child a SAFE camp experience for the BEST SUMMER EVER! Due to the events of 2020, we are revamping the way we do camp in order to give your child a fun summer camp experience, while still following the COVID camp protocols.
YMCA Summer Camp will be open to kids ages 7-12 years old, starting June 22 and running through August 7*. Each week, camp will be held Monday through Friday, from 9:30am-3:30pm. We ask that parents drop kids off directly to the Christensen Family YMCA Camp unless transportation from the Y is absolutely necessary. The camp is located at 3402 W Military Ave. If your child requires transportation from the YMCA, the bus will leave at 9am and will drop off at 4pm at the Ice Arena.
*We will be offering a special, ISLAND ADVENTURE CAMP for 11-13 year olds the week of June 29-July 2.
Each week of camp has a “theme” in addition to regular camp activities such as swimming, fishing, lake activities, games, and more!
