Y Care Openings
Our Y Care is Hiring! These are the positions we currently have available!
Hiring afternoon staff for all rooms, Monday - Friday 3-6 pm. 16 years or older.
Experience is recommended but not required, we will train! Qualified applicants will undergo an extensive background check. Water Aerobics Group Fitness Instructor
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fremont Family YMCA is looking for a water aerobics instructor! This position is Monday mornings from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM with opportunities to sub at other times. The aqua fit class is high intensity and low impact with no swimming skills required. The instructor will help improve the flexibility, strength, range of motion, and cardiovascular endurance of the participants while using the resistance of the water to cushion the feet, knees, and back. The aqua strength and balance class is a beginner’s level water class catering to those 50+ in age. This class would consist of different exercises and routines. Hourly Wage Range: $10.50 - $12.50
Essential Functions:
- Fully knowledgeable of the overall principles of group exercise classes.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and staff; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
- Must possess excellent member relations skills.
- Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports when necessary.
- Must be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about overall wellness, resistance, and cardio training; coaches members via class instruction to support their desired change.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.
- Complete and maintain CPR and First Aid trainings within 90 days of hire.
- Recommends new members to group exercise classes based on their goals.
- Is knowledgeable and can answer member questions to support their goals.
- Uses tools and information available to increase member knowledge on overall wellness.
- Maintains and cleans equipment according to schedules and checklists provided.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Summer Fun Club Staff
Are you looking for a fun and flexible summer job? Do you enjoy working with school-age children? Join the Summer Fun Club team! Must be 16 years or older to work with youth 1st-8th grade kids.
Hours of operation are 6 AM-6 PM. We are looking for staff to work 5-6 hours per day, but can be flexible! Contact Kylie for more information, or fill out an application and submit it to the Y front desk (Attn. Kylie).
Wellness Center Attendant
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Wellness Attendant at the Fremont Family YMCA intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined. This position is responsible for the safety of staff, members, and guests of the YMCA and assures that all YMCA rules, policies, and procedures are understood and followed.
HOURLY WAGE RANGE: $9.00 - $11.00
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Fully knowledgeable of the daily wellness center functions and operations.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and staff; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Must be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about overall wellness, resistance, and cardio training; coaches members in support of their desired behavior change.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.

Building Supervisors
This position will pay between $10-$11/hour.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safety of staff, members, and guests of the YMCA to ensure that all YMCA rules, policies, and procedures are understood and followed.
Duties include, but are not limited to: visual monitoring of facility – both internally & externally, resolving differences between members and/or staff, conducting building tours, leading facility in emergency situations, providing physical support to all program areas as needed, securing the facility at the end of the shift and/or day.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Fully knowledgeable of the daily building functions and program operations.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and staff; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
- Conveys information on all programs and schedules and as appropriate, refers members to other programs.
- Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment immediately to the immediate supervisor using a predetermined reporting method.
- High level of understanding and the ability to operate the various areas of building security and overall building functionality.

Before and After School Programs Teachers
We are now hiring individuals to work in our before and after-school care program. Housekeeping
The YMCA is currently hiring for part-time (20-25 hours per week) positions in our housekeeping department. Hourly wages will range from $10-11/hour.
